Starting counselling can feel daunting and you may want to see how it feels first. The initial session is an opportunity for us to get a sense of each other. It usually involves having a conversation about what is on your mind, setting goals for the therapy and generally how we might work together. I will ask you to tell me about yourself to gain a more holistic understanding of what has happened to you in the past, is happening in your life currently and how you function within this. It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
